The Flowers We Grew, une installation monumentale de Rithika Merchant créée à l’invitation de Maria Grazia Chiuri pour le défilé Christian Dior haute couture printemps été 2025, qui a été présenté au Musée Rodin le lundi 27 janvier 2025. Revoir le défilé en replay.
Succédant à Faith Ringold, Isabella Ducrot, Eva Jospin, Mickalene Thomas ou encore Judy Chicago, Rithika Merchant est la nouvelle artiste invitée par Maria Grazia Chiuri à concevoir une installation pour la collection Dior haute couture, transformée en oeuvre textile monumentale par Karishma Swali et les maîtres brodeurs de la Chanakya School of Craft (Mumbai). Reflet de l’engagement de Maria Grazia Chiuri et de la maison Dior pour promouvoir les artistes féminines du monde entier, cette réalisation unique a été dévoilée lundi 27 janvier à l’occasion du défilé Dior haute couture au sein du jardin du Musée Rodin.
Cette installation de 100 mètres de long au total, ainsi que les oeuvres originales inédites de Rithika Merchant qui ont servi à sa conception, est ouverte aux visiteurs du Musée Rodin du mardi 28 janvier jusqu’au dimanche 2 février inclus.

The Flowers We Grew, a site-specific installation by Rithika Merchant, created at the invitation of Maria Grazia Chiuri for Christian Dior Haute Couture show, Spring-Summer 2025, which was presented at the Musée Rodin in Paris on Monday, January 27, 2025. Watch the show in replay.
Following in the footsteps of Faith Ringold, Isabella Ducrot, Eva Jospin, Mickalene Thomas or Judy Chicago, Rithika Merchant is the latest artist invited by Maria Grazia Chiuri to design an installation for the Dior haute couture collection, transformed into a monumental textile work by Karishma Swali and the master embroiderers of the Chanakya School of Craft (Mumbai). Reflecting the commitment of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Dior to promoting women artists around the world, this unique creation is unveiled this Monday January 27, during the Dior haute couture show in the garden of the Rodin Museum.
The 100-meter-long installation, along with the original artworks by Rithika Merchant that inspired its design, will be exhibited and open to visitors of the Musée Rodin from Tuesday, January 28, to Sunday, February 2.
